Sweet Pleated Grass

Swings in augment with heart,
too sweet for a rough grassland,
and briefly thick
for a forbidden forest.
Its tips earthy with dew.
And some wreaked,
rich, but a patch,
not a continuous garden—

all braided deep: a twisted foundry
