This is the final call for The London Magazine’s worldwide poetry competition: we’re closing for entries in less than two weeks!

The competition presents you with an outstanding chance for your work to be published in the UK’s the oldest and most prestigious literary journal in the UK, which has published the works of Sylvia Plath, Ted Hughes and Christopher Reid plus many more.

Steven O’Brien, Editor of The London Magazine has stated the importance of such competitions – ‘Competitions are a crucial way of showcasing new and established poets.’

There is also the chance to win cash prizes for first, second and third place and the runners up will have their work published on this website.

Entry is £5 per poem and there is no limit to the number of poems you wish to enter. The winners will be announced at a reception on the 10th September 2014.

You simply need to send your poem(s), submission form and £5 entry payment by post or email before the fast-approaching deadline. This is a brilliant opportunity, so be sure not to miss out!
