Is

God is
The earth is
The lecture is in the auditorium
The man is from Swabia
The cup is of silver
The

peasant

is

in

the

fields
The book is mine
He is dead
Red is the port side
In Russia there is famine
The enemy is in retreat
The vine disease is in the vineyards
The dog is in the garden
‘Over

all

the

peaks
Is peace’

Found poem: Heidegger M, Introduction to Metaphysics, Yale Nota Bene, 2000

Thunder

Deep in prattle we’re caught off guard, pianos of our bodies pink buds on the note.

You pull knees to your breasts, statue, and

we

are

assigned

to

widely

separated

mountains

–

diminished, augmented, listening.
Light has changed so we should pass torches,

speak Greek: phusis,

its

flower

smoking;;

ousia, old

walls

sounding;

keraunos, apophainesthai

Sword of light at the window and we are lit, skin of the house answering.
