Waterloo Bridge, London, at Dusk by Claude Monet

Let’s Dive In

.

I often find myself inspired by logistics, yet
encounters leave me longing for friendship.
I collect tattoos of the places I visit. I don’t
think I’m going out on a limb when I say
all of us are haunted by nature. We gather
herbs fresh in spring, add spoonfuls of sugar.
My lived experience seldom makes sense.
It doesn’t take much to forge a life – table,
mirror, book. Between journeys and lies,
I’m beginning to find my feet. We have lofty
ambitions, but our muscles ache from sweeping
up broken glass. I don’t want to exaggerate,
but I could be happy anywhere. Together,
our losses make a home, wouldn’t you say?
