Michael Naghten Shanks lives and works in Ireland. His poems have been published in Ambit, Prelude, and Poetry Ireland Review, and are forthcoming in Perverse. His most recent pamphlet, The Architecture of Red Caviar Sandwiches, was published by If a Leaf Falls Press in 2019. A Pushcart Prize nominee, he was twice shortlisted for Poem of the Year at the Irish Book Awards. He is writing his debut collection with support from the Arts Council of Ireland.
