Château de Pommard releases three series of free live online experiences revisiting Burgundy’s famous wine road. From Gevrey-Chambertin to Meursault, customers will embark on a virtual journey across La Route des Grands Crus, exploring the prestigious appellations of Côte de Beaune et Côte de Nuits from the comfort of their own home.

The first chapter of experiences, a general deep dive into the diversity of Côte d’Or’s unique appellations, will launch on the 15th of April. The second chapter, La Route des Grands Crus Premium Experience, will be released on the 6th of May, and provide a specific focus on the region’s greatest terroir and its winemaking techniques. The third chapter, La Route des Grands Crus Essential Experience, dives into the origins and specificities of Burgundy’s iconic grapes varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This final chapter will be available as of the 27th of May. These experiences will be led by the estate’s WSET-trained wine advisors, leveraging the most recent technology to enable full 90-minutes immersions into the magical region of Burgundy. Additionally, the estate’s professional wine advisors will introduce guests to the art of tasting through a documented approach following the strict principles of professional
wine tasting.

Eventually, to ensure a full discovery of this wonderful wine region, customers will have the opportunity to purchase some of the estate’s most refined wines, including the newly released Famille Carabello-Baum 2018 vintage. The estate has also released a series of three tasteful wine collections: La Route des Grands Crus, La Route des Grands Crus Premium and Burgundy’s Essential Collections. These collections gather a selection of Côte d’Or’s finest Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. The estate has committed to donate 15% of the sales from the three collections to Fondation Hôpitaux de France, to support the effort of the French public hospitals during these challenging times.

Provided for free, these experiences will be available for booking as of the 13th of April on the estate’s website. With these educational yet entertaining experiences, Château de Pommard engages with the opportunities of digital technologies to face the current economic crisis while still being able to answer “consumers’ desire to engage in new experiences” according to Michael Baum, CEO & Propriétaire of Château de Pommard.
